Coach Rich Graef

Assistant Coach UMASS Men's Baseball Hitting and Fielding Lesson

Former UMass outfielder Rich Graef begins his second season with the Minutemen coaching staff in 2015 after serving as a volunteer assistant in 2014.

Graef appeared in 143 games, starting 126, in his four-year career with the Minutemen and hit .289 (135-for-467) with 76 runs scored, 45 RBI and 27 stolen bases.

As a senior in 2013, he led UMass with 30 runs scored and was one of two players to start all 45 games. The assistant captain recorded a batting average of .261 with 15 RBI and went 13-for-18 on stolen base attempts.

He also notched 12 multi-hit games, four multi-RBI games and ended his collegiate career on a five-game hitting streak.

Rich Graef graduated from UMass in 2013 with a degree in Sport Management and was the team's 2013 winner of the Coaches Award. He is a native of Simsbury, Conn.
